Here it is folks! The $1000 Miata is real and I have driven it. My friend just picked this up last night. Here are the vitals:

Perfect top

New tires

New clutch

Every single maintenance recipt from the day it was bought.

This thing is like a small miracle. But, here is the part your all going to hate... he just wants to flip it.

Yeah, flipping it doesn't seem horrible, especially if it goes to someone who can really use it...

What does he want? I'd give him 15-20% finders fee and I'll pay for the paperwork.

it's really amazing. He has let me ride it and I was almost convinced to buy a bike because of it. The no clutch quick shift is ridiculous.

I love no clutching on my SV. and I dont even have a quick-shift! (pressure on the selector, snap gas to 0 and back, bike is in the next gear!)

keep in mind that you also rode one of the NICEST bikes money can buy. so you were kinda spoiled from the start :P

Yeah, I'm in So Cal too and the last Miata we bought for $1000 had large amounts of bondo in the drivers side door (like a whole tub), about 8 washers in the door latch so that it would close, no A/C vents or radio and large holes in the top. It did run well though.
